Sally Obermeder, star of 'The Real Housewives of Sydney', recently transformed her new Sydney home into a vibrant, art-filled space with the help of interior expert Claudia Lambert. The goal was to create a cosy, family-friendly, and functional space that reflects the life she shares with her husband, Marcus and their two daughters.

The design process began with a brief that prioritized a balance between a grown-up aesthetic and a space where the children could freely play. The project, which came together in just two months, was a testament to the vital understanding between Sally and Claudia.

The home's colour palette was inspired by a sizeable graphic artwork by Philippa Riddiford that hangs in the living area. With its striking palette of pale pink, gold, blue, and black, this artwork became the space's hero. Sally's love for bold artwork is evident throughout the home, with many featuring pink and blush tones.

Furniture selections were made in collaboration with GlobeWest, starting with a large, comfy sofa that could fit the whole family. Sally's understanding of dimensions was transformed, learning that large furniture pieces could work well even in smaller spaces. The dining room features midnight-blue dining chairs from Love Tree Interiors with brass accents. It is a bold choice for Sally, who usually plays it safe with furniture.

The final touch was the addition of texture, shape, colour, and personality through meaningful accessories and soft furnishings. The sheer curtains add a smooth and dynamic element, while various lamps bring sculptural interest. The styling elements are a mix of new and old, with Claudia hunting for interesting vintage items to complement Sally's unique pieces from her previous home.

Sally's new home is a testament to her journey of embracing colour and bold choices. The collaboration with Claudia resulted in a space that is not only beautiful but also truly reflects the life and personality of the Obermeder family.
