Maritsa Micos is an abstract expressionist who drawers influence form her changing environment and landscapes. Using layers of mark – making she aims to deconstruct the literal form by breaking down what she sees in order to recreate the image in search of its ‘soul / personality”
Maritsa has been featured nationally and internationally in public and private domains for over three decades, after participating in The Drawing Marathon in Soho Maritsa was inspired to broaden the boundaries of painting / drawing through unorthodox tools and exercises and as a result Maritsa’s work became intuitive in its approach.
