Fleur Stevenson

Fleur Stevenson is a New Zealand born, Sydney based abstract artist, who creates layered, textural works which investigate the compositional relationships, from the social and physical environments she visits.

Working with acrylic and spray paint, Fleur’s work explores memory, personal history and place. She is interested in translating memories from personal experiences and each painting considers the physical environment and the associated ideas, feelings and emotions and the space the memories occupy on the surface.

Since beginning her career as an emerging artist in 2018, Fleur held her first solo exhibition in 2023 and has been selected as a finalist in a number of art awards in Australia and New Zealand.

Fleur has completed residencies including the Cloudbough Art Residency, Kandos NSW (2022) and more recently she was selected for the Community MFA Salon Series at Bushwick Studios, Brookvale NSW (2023).
