Monica Pronk

Monica Pronk is an award-winning, internationally published Sydney-based photographer specialising in people, lifestyle, and fine art. Her passion lies in creating rich visual stories infused with wildness and intrinsic femininity.

Monica discovered photography at age 16 and has been captivated by the medium ever since. After completing a Bachelor of Design Studies majoring in Photography in 2019, she gained international experience during her time in London and now lives in rural Sydney with her family, close to nature. Her work celebrates the inseparable connection between humans and the wild, and she advocates for the preservation of the natural world through her art.

Her debut solo exhibition, Part of the Whole, opened in 2020 and explored womankind’s connection to the ocean and nature. In 2023, she expanded this series through her second solo show, Dear, Earth, which featured new landscapes and waterscapes across Western Australia and Costa Rica. Both shows included immersive installations—such as a sandy beach and live moss meditation—designed to transport audiences into the sensory world of her photography.

Monica continues to draw inspiration from the human form, underwater environments, wide open spaces, and the untamed outdoors. She finds pure magic in the act of creating, using photography to reflect meaning and possibility in every frame.
