Zoe Sernack is an artist who lives and works in Sydney, Australia. Zoe holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The National Art School and works on a full-time studio practice. She has exhibited for over 28 years and has been a finalist in numerous art prizes across Australia.

Zoe is a contemporary abstract artist whose work reimagines the landscapes of her surroundings through colour, textures, and dynamic forms. She has always had a deep connection to nature, drawing inspiration from the interplay of light, earth, and forms above and below the surface. Continually engaging with the natural world, Zoe wants us to understand her visual language but also invites the viewer to develop their own interpretation.

Her paintings are multi-layered, being as much about the medium of paint and the process of painting as with an experience of the Australian landscape. Her work explores the connections between landscape, memory, and the subconscious. She has an instinctive understanding of colour, line, and texture while balancing abstracted forms. Zoe’s objective has never been to depict but to evoke a visual connection—whether it be a sense of place, a feeling, or a memory.
