Artist Statement

The ‘Resonance’ Collection

This collection of emotive landscapes explore the tension and connections between people, land, ocean, and spirit. Through darker tonal palettes, rippling textures, and layered abstraction, these works express a dialogue between movement and stillness.

Each piece reflects a contemporary First Nations expression of place, drawing upon ancestral memory and the living energy of Country.

There is both intimacy and vastness in these landscapes and a sense of presence that reaches beyond the physical. These pieces invite viewers to contemplate their own relationship to the land and the unseen forces that shape it.
